Particulate matter air quality sensors

The AQMesh air quality monitor PM sensor detects fine and coarse particles as well as total particle count and total suspended particulates. For projects where the impact of high humidity is a potential concern we have an optional heated inlet to reduce the effects of humidity on particle sizes.

Additional accessories for air quality monitoring

Wind speed and direction sensor

The optional AQMesh sensor for measuring wind speed and direction allows for local pollution source apportionment to be carried out, in addition to the gases and/or particulate matter being monitored.

The sensor features:

  • Custom connector for easy connection to AQMesh pods
  • Low power consumption
  • Wind speed 0-30m/s
  • Wind direction 0-359 degrees
  • Supplied with mounting bracket

Noise sensor

The noise sensor measures average noise and peak noise. Peak noise is the highest recorded value over the gas reporting interval while average noise is calculated.

The sensor features:

  • Omnidirectional electret condenser microphone
  • 35 to 100 dB SPL range
  • 20Hz to 20kHz limit of detection
  • 0.9 R2 typical precision
  • +/- 1 dB average noise prescaled accuracy
  • +/- 3 dB peak noise prescaled accuracy
