Co-location comparison trials
AQMesh performance has developed through a series of co-location comparison trials in which AQMesh pods are installed next to an air quality monitoring reference station, with the comparative data then analysed to produce an R2 value showing the close relationship between the instruments. In this section is a variety of R2 results from trials around the globe for each measurable parameter.
Special full-length reports and independent studies
- AQMesh performance proven by independent EuNetAir study of air quality sensor systems
- Professor Rod Jones of the University of Cambridge presents a paper showing very encouraging results for AQMesh
- Transport Scotland’s use of AQMesh to detect traffic patterns and the pollution caused

The following reports are available to view/download as PDFs and contain in-depth analysis for each parameter:
NO2 trial results
NO trial results
O3 trial results
SO2 trial results
NOx trial results
All comparison trials are from regularly maintained reference stations. Not all are specifically identified due to the administrative overhead of getting permission to name data sources. We do not always use ratified reference data to avoid delays in analysis but re-running the comparison analysis after data ratification often improves correlation.
