AQMesh processes and stores all readings on its bespoke secure server which can be accessed by a website login or API to integrate with other systems, or it can be simple emailed to you at your preferred schedule
Server security taken seriously
Encrypted disks, complex authentication, audit logs and proactive systems for continuous detection of vulnerabilities and intrusions are routinely examined, making the AQMeshData server – and users’ data – as secure as possible.
It is quite right to be concerned about data security. As well as contact details of users, our server holds location and timestamp information linked to pollution levels and we understand that this information may well be sensitive and is certainly yours.
There is a place for sharing of air quality information and many systems automatically publish air quality readings but our users want to choose how their data is published and what QA/QC is applied to it before it is.
Whether you are accessing data by API or by logging into our application on your laptop or phone, the security measures we use are best in class – think of logging into your bank online.
More AQMesh benefits
AQMesh has been on the market and in the field since 2012, with some customers still successfully operating the exact same pods they received nine years ago
Robust hardware, wireless communications and the secure AQMeshData server mean AQMesh pods can easily reconnect themselves and continue to capture data if power is ever interrupted
Whilst some manufacturers use a calculation to give an NO2 reading, AQMesh uses a unique O3-filtered NO2 sensor for accurate, direct measurement of NO2
Meaningful correction of cross-gas effects and interference from environmental conditions is consistently delivered through proven and traceable processing
AQMesh pods can measure just one gas or up to six gases, particles, noise and wind speed & direction. Humidity, pressure and pod temperature are always measured
AQMesh is the proven small-sensor air quality monitor for indoor and outdoor air quality monitoring applications, measuring gases and particulates.
AQMesh performance has developed through a series of co-location comparison trials in which AQMesh pods are installed next to an air quality monitoring reference station..
S I Analytics has supplied 65 AQMesh pods into Southern Africa since 2016, many of which are used in mining applications. The small, post-mounted air pollution monitoring units measure a range of gaseous pollutants and particulate matter, as well as environmental conditions.
North Americans will be well aware of the particularly harsh weather in the early months of 2019, but AQMesh has taken conditions in its stride. The AQMesh stated operating range of -20°C to + 40°C is backed up by long-term operation across a wide range of climates.
AQMesh has been measuring ozone (O3) using small sensors since 2011 and the readings from the latest generation electrochemical sensor, using AQMesh v4.2.3 processing, as compared to co-located certified reference readings, consistently show an R2 of over 0.9 with an accuracy ±10ppb (20µg/m3).
Following a successful evaluation phase in 2018, AQMesh small sensor air quality monitoring ‘pods’ have been selected for use in a project to control the ventilation of a road tunnel in the city of Marseille.
Featured case studies
Breathe London - 100 AQMesh pods are used as stationary monitoring points in the groundbreaking Breathe London project.
Urban Observatory - AQMesh systems are deployed across Newcastle and Gateshead in conjunction with other instruments for monitoring parameters such as air and water quality, noise, weather, energy use and traffic.
Minnesota Pollution Control Agency - 50 AQMesh pods are installed in Minneapolis and St. Paul to build up a picture of air quality across the two cities.
UNRESP project - Six AQMesh pods are used to show variations in volcanogenic emissions across locations near the Masaya volcano, Nicaragua.
AtmoSud & CETU - AQMesh network will be used to manage Marseille tunnel ventilation systems.
