PM processing algorithms

A benefit of purchasing AQMesh is access to improved processing algorithms for gas monitoring. PM monitoring algorithms are in continual development through ongoing analysis of co-location datasets from around the world. Upgrading AQMesh pods to the latest algorithms will process data on the new algorithm version from the point the switch is made.

Upgrading from V2.0 to current production version V3.0

Upgrading to the latest version brings significant benefits to all users running V2.0

Benefits

  • Filtering of electronic interference, improving accuracy and pod-to-pod consistency
  • Filter to remove data points affected by moisture and particle deliquescence
  • Factory characterisation, improving pre-scaled accuracy

Implications

  • Pods will need to be returned to factory for a chargeable upgrade
  • The filter for data points affected by moisture will result in some data points being removed and presented as a gap in the data
  • Each timestamped reading carries the version number to ensure traceability

How to upgrade

  • Return the pod to factory for it to be upgraded and characterised
  • Users MUST give permission for this change to be made

An additional factory option is installation of a heated inlet, to condition the sample, which further improves accuracy. This option requires a direct DC power source and cannot be powered from solar.
